Teignmouth Twinning Association Newsletter  September 2011
Dear Members,
We hope that you have had a good summer, and that the weather was kind to you wherever you went for your holidays. We stayed on in France after you all went home and wandered in random fashion, through France to our house and back again. So now I suppose it’s time to wind up the old brain and get started on twinning issues again.
Twinning visit.
I recall that all went very well, and the feedback from the visit was positive,  the general consensus was that we had a good time, apart from a little bit of rain here and there, which didn’t seem to be a problem for most of you.

The Next Twinning Visit
We are assuming that this will take place sometime next May when the PG Folks visit us. We don’t actually have a date yet. It is up to the French to tell us their preferences before we all make a final decision. I have written to their president but not yet received a reply. We will keep you informed as soon as we know some more. We will however need to think of some new activities and events for the next visit, so if you have any ideas they will be gratefully received and considered by the committee.

Skittles at Mount Pleasant. To be held on 19th October 2011
The next planned social event is the skittles evening and supper at the Mount Pleasant in Dawlish. This is usually an enjoyable occasion and you are welcome to bring your friends along. You will find attached to this newsletter a form detailing the menu choices and the price. Please return the form to the treasurer as soon as you can by sending it with you cheque to the “treasurer at 55 Yannon Drive Teignmouth TQ14 9JP”. (We have managed to keep the price the same as last year’s)

Murder Mystery evening to be held on 19th November 2011
Abbotskerswell Twinning Association is holding a “Murder Mystery” evening, 7:30 for 8:00 pm, to which they have invited TTA members. Tickets are £15 each which includes a two course meal (vegetarian choice available). 1920/30’s dress is optional. Tables of eight or fewer will be welcome. If interested please contact Liz on www.teignmouthtwinning.co.uk using the ‘contact us’ facility.

Annual General Meeting to be held on 24 November 2011
This will be held in Bitton House and followed by a Dutch Supper. Agenda details for the AGM will be sent to you nearer to the time together with nomination forms for the committee.
New Year Lunch. To be Held on 7th or 14th January 2012
This event will be held at the Langstone Cliff Hotel in Dawlish. At time of writing we don’t have a menu, confirmed date, or a price, but will send you full details when they become available.
