Dear Member,
Time to give you some more updates about events that have happened since the last newsletter and tell you about events planned for the next few weeks ahead.

This was a very successful event.  About fifty people turned up at Bitton House from all over the county at about ten thirty for morning coffee and then held their committee meeting whilst our catering team worked hard at getting lunch ready. The ladies on the committee decided that they would organise all of the catering themselves and everyone agreed that they made a fantastic job of it.  After lunch the visit to the Orangery was followed by an enthusiastic talk by Beryl King about its history. The whole afternoon was rounded off with tea before closing.

The numbers attending were a bit down on last year due to illness and various other unforeseen issues, but everyone had a good time

This will be held in Bitton House and will include a Dutch Supper. Please bring something to eat or drink that we can share. The committee will provide wine. You will find the agenda and the minutes from the last AGM attached.

This was planned to be a Christmas social evening but people tell us that there are so many other social events and functions planned for December that we are unlikely to get the support that we deserve. Therefore we have decided to cancel this event.

The date initially set for this event was 8th January 2011. This date has changed because we have tried to combine the New Year Lunch with some of the party atmosphere that we were planning for the now cancelled Christmas social evening.
The new planned date for the New Year Lunch is Saturday 15th January 2011. The venue is the Langstone Cliff Hotel in Dawlish. We hope that you will join us for lunch which includes a glass of wine followed by music for dancing or just listening.  At the end of the afternoon there will be tea and cake before you leave. We will be sending you the menu in due course.
