Dear Member,
A number of our members have requested pictures of the boat that we are taking to cruise the coast from Brixham on Friday 14th as part of the twinning visit:
Newsletter:
We have been busy working on our event schedule for this year including the visit to Teignmouth of our friends from Perros Guirec, who will be here between Thursday 13th May and Sunday 16th May 2010.
Currently we do not know how many visitors to expect and cannot therefore give details of who will be hosting, which visitors and how many etc. We will pass this information to you as soon as we have it. Meantime we have enclosed the necessary forms for you to decide which menus and events to select.
Quiz and Supper in Bitton House on 11th March 2010
This is the third year we have run this event where we have a quiz with a break halfway through for supper. The quiz questions have been researched by Frank and Mary Purchase, who will also be the quiz masters on the night. Food will be in the form of a buffet which will be supplied by the association together with wine which is all included in the price. We have already sent you an entry form.
French Supper evening in Bitton House 29th April 2010
The purpose of this meeting is to answer all of your questions about the upcoming visit, and for the members to advise the committee of any problems not yet thought through, and also, of course, to enjoy some food and wine
Below we have set out the programme for the visit to Teignmouth.
Perros Guirec Visit to Teignmouth Between Thursday 13th and Sunday 16th May 2010
We have been working hard to produce a programme that we hope you will enjoy. Last year when we visited France you told us how much you enjoyed the games we played. So we plan to reciprocate with our own English games and have chosen two events which we know that our members enjoy and can show off their skills to the French. The French, at their games, presented a cup for the best player and we thought that it would be a good idea to have it engraved and present it back this year to their best player.
Thursday 13th May 2010
The visitors are expected to arrive late on Thursday evening from the ferry and we will meet the coach at the Eastcliff car park at about 9:45pm.
Friday 14th May 2010
